Hello! I am a newly blessed Wedge owner, with a 400SE, and am looking at any advice anyone can give me regarding a faulty wiper motor. It clears only half the passenger side of the windscreen and the garage I currently have it at (for various bits and replacements) are having difficulty in sourcing a replacement/fix.
Any ideas of where one could be found?
Any info is much appreciated as this is all that is left to get it back to me!

Possibly a stripped gearwheel at the wiper pivot. Some people report that you can dismantle and replace it 180 degrees round to extend its life... however half the car has to come to bits to get at it.

Ok, thanks for that reply. I guess if they have to strip the car to get to it to possibly replace it they may as well give that a go first. Or if I stick to taking it out in the dry it won't be an issue!

Until the mot!
It's a bit of a daunting job for a novice to remove the dash board etc but eventually I plucked the chicken and did it on my 350 which is not the same as yours but the same principal,to pay a garage to do it could easily mount up and there's no telling what sort of monkey they're gonna put on it and what sort of damage he/she may do,its fairly straight forward once you are there its just the journey, john.

Thanks for the reply John. The car is at a TVR 'specialist' and they seem to be pretty competent in what they have done so far. Not sure if it's within my capabilities! They weren't sure if it was a MOT failure as it does clear the driver's side of the screen....I'll investigate on that...
