Hope this is not a repost.

A colleague at work wants an Exige and sent a dealer link, who, also has this for sale:

Yes it's a very nice car.
Amos (The dealer) has spent a lot of money with the trimers and bodyshop at the factory!
Ref the price it would be nice if he get's what he's asking!

Why has this SEAC got a dash like the 350? My brother in-law had an early 420 SEAC but his dash was similar to the 400SE except without the time clock in the middle. I never knew they made a SEAC with that type of dash. A bit disappointing if you ask me.

I guess this car has the added Peter Wheeler provenance behind it, which is bound to push up the price.
I personally love the styling of the SEAC cars, the ultimate wedge!

If the SEACs do start to make strong money though, it seems inevitable that the prices of all the wedges will follow suit as a 'halo' effect. And rightly so, where else can you buy a V8 performance convertible for wedge money?
Interestingly, a lot my friends really love the wedge styling - perhaps a generation thing as I, and my friends, grew up with 80s cars.

A few of the early SEAC's cars had a 350i dash.
From my investigating the normal SEAC'S and later wedges (Including cars for the USA but not 350i) had a similar angled/curved dash. In the bible it actualy claims the angled/curved dash was for USA market?

Nice looking car... much better condition than mine!

I'm interested to know what evidence there is to support the Peter Wheeler connection? The blurb in this ad mentions stainless chassis; I doubt this car has one as it's got the wide centre spine, the two stainless cars I know of have the narrow centre console and the handbrake under the dash.

I guess it's not unreasonable to guess that PW had several SEACs over the years though.

There is no doubt in my mind that all Wedge prices will rise. I know that a lot of owners have been hearing this for a while now, and that not much has happened over the last few years, but mark my word, this time next year you'll be sitting on a gold mine. Of course, we are not all in it for the money. I bought my third Wedge because I love them. The sound, the looks and the power. It is truly a posers paradise, and lets face it, we all love to do a bit of posing and enjoy the turn of the heads and the drop of the jaws as we drive by. Being a natural poser I probably take it a little further than most by wearing leather driving gloves, shades and a vest on the coldest of days.(and nights).
It's a car that's fairly simple to work on, parts are easily available or can be easily sourced, and the Wedge looks so different and sexy. There is no other car in this league with so much power and performance and value. It stands to reason, and is only a matter of time before the prices WILL go up.

I really couldn't have put that better myself, that sums up the car perfectly, I'm not really in it for the money, but it deserves to be worth more if that makes sense? I took mine to the shops last night and when I walked back out to the car, a caught a glimpse of it and it took me back to being a young teenager and the excitement of seeing a Ferrari 308 or A Lamborghini Countach, I know it's not as exotic as that, but that's how I felt... And mines a dog at present, come June it will live again!!

Another effect - '80's chic is in with the young people (or, at least, the ones I see around). And these people have money in their pocket, houses are too much to buy so why not get a wedge, apart from the Lotuses and Astons from the same era it has to say '80's in yer face.

These people also want originality - no carbon fibre - no blingy wheels.
