400se starter motor

hope you chaps can help i have a new starter motor that came with my car but it does not have the solanoid on the outside like my 350i had is this correct cheers

Is it an inertia starter? any nos. doesn`t sound right. Sorry

just been looking in the other box,s and found onother starter witch looks correct trouble is the car was had been stripped when i got it so sorting bits as i go some bits not tvr cheers dave
