Has a few phone calls from Howard (Wedgeman) today, he was at Rik Woods to see the first start up of the totally rebuilt Holden Bathurst race engine that belongs in the White Elephant, needless to say he was over the moon as it was making more power than expected and with more to come!!!

Engine will be collected later this week and will soon be mated to its T5 box and dropped into the chassis.

For the those of you who dont know the saga of this engine, it has been round numerous engine builders over the years and it has proved to be very difficult to get anyone to commit and do a proper job.

It certainly is Rob, it means we can finally start putting the car back together again!
Howard is hoping it will see tarmac later this year, dont know if it will be ready for BBWF, but at least that will give me a chance to find a few more horsepower for mine to try and keep up! Cant reveal to much about the power figure for Howards engine, but lets just say that is north of what TVR said it produced (bizzare for TVR)

Hows your search for a Wedge going?

This is just great news, Howard must be over the moon that it is all coming together.

As for my search, going to look at one tomorrow. So watch this space...With a bit of luck it may be the one that sees me back in a wedge.
