Can anyone help ? I am trying to find my 450SE that I had built by the factory in 1988 (F reg). It was Mica Blue with magnolia leather. I can't remember the registration number other than it was F reg.
Within 2 weeks of taking delivery the cylinder heads went, there were no production heads available for replacement because the entire head production had been turned over to the Tuscan race car series. After an arguement with Peter Wheeler he agreed to give me a set of race heads. I don't really know what it did to the performance because I was still running in when the standard heads went but it was damn quick.
I always regretted selling that car so I just want to find out if it's still alive and kicking.

Regards to all
David Bailey

Thanks for all your replies. I just wanted to know if the car was still around, it would be great to know.
I had 3 TVR wedges. The first was an early 390 se which was a total dog of a car, rear suspension collapsed twice and the engine was always in trouble. My second was a later 390se which was Peter Wheelers car and it came with the plate TVR 100 (which I had to give back)and my third was the 450 se. Always loved them, it broke my heart when the factory shut.

Hi Sid, how old was your 390? I too had an early one which also was a bit of a ?#"! Good luck with tracing your 450.

Was it F678 YOV? I work with someone who knew that car a few years ago.

Hi, I noticed you mentioned Peter Wheeler's TVR 390 SE (Reg TVR 100). I am not sure what timescale you are looking at, but I regrettably wrote that car off at Bruntinthorpe Proving Ground in Leicestershire. As a junior staff reporter at Motoring News in 1987 - during the heavy storms we had in the south-east that October, I took TVR's press demonstrator (orange 390 SE) to get some road test figures....sadly I spun into a field and wrecked the underside of that car, much to the disgust of my former editor and the amusement of my colleagues...needless to say I was black listed from road test cars for the next few months...hope that helps...Neil Perkins

Hi All,
Sorry I've been offline for a while and not replied to your kind posts.
I am trying to find some photos of my TVRs, for some reason I haven't got any so I'm asking friends and relatives to dig through their old drawers to see what they've got.
The 390 se which came with the plate TVR100 had to be replated because the factory wanted TVR100 back as it was their number, it ended up with a D plate so I doubt it will be the same car that was written off. I hope you weren't hurt in the crash.
Trying to remember back all those years, I realise how bad my memory has become. When I get more information and hopefully photos I will post it here so all can see.
Regards to all
David.
