Hi
I'm wanting to add another exhaust (twin) though the bottom spoiler only has one exhaust point. Though i have looked at the other side of the spoiler and i can see another exhaust point marked out but no (hole).
Is it easy to tap out to create another exhaust point, or is it a cutting job that im bound to make a mess of...

Ps tried to upload an image but problem with Pistonheads. I can only describe the spoiler as a surf board lol!!!!

Thanks in advance

Thack

You could probably make a good job using a hole saw - you can hire them from tool shops, buying one that big might cost a bit - or ask a plumber or builder mate??

But I do ask - the pics, I mean. I'd like to see more to see how the parts from different models fit together, from different angles.

Hi Eero
Some of the old wedges maybe able to help me with the history on my car. It did belong to Firefox JJ who sold it around 2008, then I bought it with a miss fire problem the year after. The car was stamped up as a 390 but the engine blew before the new owner got it I believe. I've got some paper work from TVR re classing it to a 420, with a job list of new exterior parts and a 4266cc engine being fitted, stamped up the year of registration.
TVR must have thought any part will do.
The guy who I bought it of strung me a line saying he was the owner for years. Think he was trying to make a quick pound or two on the resale. Still glad I bought the car even if my wallet doesn't agree.

The story went something along the lines of the car having originally been built as a SEAC, then crashed and rebodied as a 390/420SE, as for whatever reason the owner couldn't afford a SEAC reshell. There was also talk of it being two shells cut'n'shut to make one. With a massive hole in the provenance a few people took umbrage at the scenario; most maintained it was at best a 420SE (nothing wrong with a 420SE, they're as rare as hen's teeth anyway) and possible an up-engined 390SE (which would at least be in the spirit of the car and TVR themselves) but I thnk JJ really pushed his luck when he insisted in getting the car included in a SEAC group shot taken at the first or second Wedgefest. As I recall it went ahead, then as soon as his back was turned the cars were regrouped for another shot to exclude it.

Thanks for clearing that up. I can defo say its not a SEAC, not that there is anything wrong with them cars. Though i do prefer the SE, it has a more aggressive look!!!
I know it started out black, taken to yellow in the 90s.
Good to catch up at the BBWF
