Does anyone have the correct plenum to flame trap rubber pipe, new or old that they can sell me, or know where I can buy one? Any help would be appreciated.

You could just block off plenum spigot and pop a breather on top of flame trap, might help to gain a horse p or two.

I prefer to keep it original if I can but no one seems to have this specially shaped rubber pipe. I could use an ordinary length of pipe and adapt it to fit but it would't look the same.

Hi Tony

How urgently do you need it?

I am hopefully going home in the next couple of days (See my up date post)

I have a couple of these pipes spare! I could get "Mr Sheen" to sort one out!

Hi Andy.

Firstly, I am really glad to hear that you are going back home for the rest of the healing process. There is no place like home, and you have been through such a lot. I wish you all the best.
I would be really grateful if you could find the breather pipe for me and I will pay the costs. There is no urgency as the car is drivable so any time in the near future would be fine. Just let me know when you are ready.

I believe the racers do it,after all its feeding hot air from engine back into air intake, ideally you want cold air.

Yep if it's legal do it, won't pass the "MOT" here with it. Also prevents your intake from getting oil in it from there.

I would be vary wary of mucking about with the PCV breathing system.
Ever Rover V8 I've ever seen that has had the PCV system mucked about with, ends up breathing heavily and throwing oil out of the seals (rocker covers - sometimes even crank seals).

You should be able to get hold of the pipe easily enough from Rimmer Bros. Failing that try the Land Rover specialists such as John Craddock or Paddock Motors.

most do, but they use a catch tank system, as you still want to create a positive pressure.

Andy. When you get the chance maybe you can get someone to locate this pipe for me, new or old would do, long as its usable, or if anyone else has one I would be very grateful. I will pay the cost.

OK. Thanks Andy and I hope you are getting better. If you don't feel up to it, there is no great urgency but if you can sort it I would be grateful. Thanks again and all the best.

Hi Ralph. Yes it is the one from camcover to intake. The only problem is I'm in North London, a fair distance from you. Would you be willing to wrap it up and post it to me if I pay all the costs. If you can, I would be very grateful and I can pm you my address and pay either by cheque or paypal if you let me know how much it will be. Let me know, and thanks again.
