AFM to Plenum Hose
Discussion
My old 350 needs a new hose (perishing) from the air flow meter to the plenum. I was thinking of changing to silicone, and change some of the other hoses at the same time, but the ones I've seen are a simple 90 degree affair.
The ones on the early cars are like an "S" shape but twisted through 90 degrees.
Don't really want to reposition the AFM.
Any ideas.
Cheers

Hi Mate..You could always use a couple of 90 degree silicone elbows and some stainless steel straight couplings..Then some straight silicone..I did this with mine but obviously didnt need to have it in an "S" shape..You would probably need: 2 X silicone 90 degree elbows..2 X Small straight stainless couplings..(Which i got from an exhaust fitter..3")..And 2 X Straight silicone hose but work out the lengths and diameters that you need..Make sure the ID of the silicone fits over the OD of the couplings and AFM..Also some good qaulity clips..Ziga

Yes, ACT sell them. You have to cut one end though at an angle to fit on the AFM.
That reminds me, I must get one for my 390.
On my old 350i it made a noticeable difference, much quicker throttle response

I got one from Tim, had to trim both ends slightly, but throttle response seems much crisper, however less pops and bangs... old one must have been leaking.
