Probably been discussed before, but now is a good time to get an update.

My tyres are Toyo R888 225/45/17 all round. They wear pretty quickly especially around where I live. Suggestions for alternatives please

I assume you're running aftermarket rims, as 17s were far from original fit on a wedge!

R888s are, of course, very soft compound, track oriented rubber. Not surprising they'll wear quickly on-road!
Perhaps take a look at TOYO T1Rs, I've heard nothing but good about them really. A frined of mine has them on his V8 capri and it feels very planted smile

Yes, I had to get my car back to some semblance of reality after the previous owner had "pimped it". They are Image's 8.0x17 silver IFX. I had heard that the T1R was still a good performance tyre with some decent tread and grooves.

Yes Henry - come and live in Sawston! Tyres seems to wear pretty evenly, and you can come down the pub and talk wedges from time to time ;^)
