Well if that's the case, maybe a refurb is the way forward.

There was one on either parts on P/Heads or e-bay at £420.

When mine went off for a refurb, the garage mentioned Supra. I thought Toyota?......

Anyway, 70 notes for the refurb a few years ago.

Pretty sure that the PS rack from earlier wedges is a Cortina 2.3 unit. These weren't exactly common in the first place.....

I don't know if the Granada rack 'centre' is the same as the Cortina - it might be - measure it carefully....

I know from my ancient kit car days for example that the Triumph racks were all pretty much identical, and simply had different arm lengths for the various models, and with a bit of care they could be rebuilt/refurbed/arms swopped in your own garage. It wouldn't surprise me that much if (some)Fords were the same.

I would imagine that with the march of a year or two and VAT you could add 20 to that. The garage that was doing the work on the car knew a man who refurbed stuff local to the garage. You will probably have to hunt one down your neck of the woods.

A Cortina V6 rack sold on Ebay last weekend for £330 IIRC. I was going to buy it as a spare until it got a bit... spendy.
