Just took the bolts out and the thread on both are goosed so im guessing the internal thread will be to. Any ideas how to sort this without helicoiling etc? Also should there be oil leaking from the bolt holes as there seemed to be, I nipped the sump bolts up around that area and got a small turn on them so that could be the problem. Just hoping thats what was causing the oil leak!!

Help gratefully appreciated!

Without sounding like a numpty (hopefully) my gearbox has always seeped a bit of transmission fluid (TVR put red thinner trans fluid in rather than oil, to assist with better changing when engine/gearbox is cold (I remember my dad having a 1979 SD1 rover and it was bh from first to second gear in the cold.
Anyway, I,ve never realy worried about the seeping and just keep it topped up (doesn't loose much), but added bonus is that it blows down the underside as you drive, instant Waxoil treatment, (but doesn't quite get to rear discs !).
