You could try contacting 'GV' on here - he has this carb conversion on his 350iWell carb and manifold are ready to be installed this weekend, but am a bit stuck, as cant find any info on which fuel pump to use, could anyone help or advise me please, i have seached the forum but theres no info on the pump.

The original fitted fuel pump is a high pressure pump so you need a low pressure pump fitted, as you probably already know by the sound of it. The 500 needs very low pressure, about 6 psi.
I have been thinking about going to the same Edelbock 500 carb conversion, but only to make things different, not because it is needed. Can't really justify spending the money yet though.
I go to these guys for anything I need, very good to talk to and 1st class service

As it says on the link, a pressure regulator may also be needed.
I have no affiliation with them, I have just had very good service from them in the past.

I'm using one of these Facet Redtop which produces 6 to 8 PSI - you won't need a regulator and is well up to the job. I can take a piccy of my setup as to how I mounted mine if you need inspiration. If you haven't already done so - I would also use two throttle return springs and a dedicated bracket when setting up your carb....Well carb and manifold are ready to be installed this weekend, but am a bit stuck, as cant find any info on which fuel pump to use, could anyone help or advise me please, i have seached the forum but theres no info on the pump.

IMO the carb route is a great way to go if the Efi is on its way out unless of course you are a concourse anorak at which it would be tatamount to sacrilege lol!
Or you could fit a after market ECU like Emerald etc.I use a red top on the racer to feed the swirlpot, that then feeds the injection pump. they work very well but can be a bit noisy, esp it you run out of fuel.

Hi GvIts in the boot for the next owner lol, sorry but another question, what did you do about the fuel pump relay as this was part of the engine loom which was removed, what i did was cut the wire feeds to the relays and re-link them back to a blank holder, so does this mean the live feed to the pump still works and would i need to install another relay for the pump?
Kind Regards
Ralph
The Airtex Rollervane E8004 pump is similar style and shape to the 'in line' high pressure pump fitted to Wedges - so potentially a simple one out one in fit, you should be able leave the existing swirl pot & pre. filter in place and just mount the new pump where the old one was.
Max pressure is 6 psi so ok for Edelbrock without a regulator. Anything above 6.5 psi is likely to give problems on an Edelbrock 500. Airtex state 2.5 amps load.
UK stockist - Realsteel.
