Hi

Just to keep you informed about VIP's at BBWF!

Martin Lilley is yet to confirm if he can make it.

Oliver Winterbottom has confirmed he's coming and staying over night!

There are a couple more who I am in discussion with and will post up when I have any more positive news!

Andy - that's fantastic! I tried to get his signiature on my centre console at the NEC (where I met you!) but I missed him.

I might just get him to sign the car's bulkhead now, that'd be fantastic!

Your car is also closer to Mr Winterbottom's original design too Zig! I believe he never approved of the V8 cars and left TVR after falling out over fitting it instead of the V6.
Of course, if I'm wrong I stand corrected!

As I understood it, he'd long since left TVR (was he actually on a consultancy basis anyway?) by the time the V8 was introduced. He was the car's stylist, hardly a 9-5 job once production started.
Peter Wheeler actually believed that a true English sports car should have a straight 6, not a V8 (that's an American thing) but due to space limitations in the wedge engine bay (and maybe coupled with the poor choice of S6s at the time), the V8 it had to be.

Hi

Well I must say most of this is down to good old Gandalf! (Thank you Steve)

We chatted at the NEC and he ask him whilst doing an article for Sprint. All I did was send him an offical invitation and agree to pay for his "Banquet"
