Hi all, has anyone out there tried fitting crystal headlamps (as sold by various on eBay), and do they make a noticeable difference to the lighting? Any other suggestions for improving the headlamp brightness?
Thanks!

Not fitted them on the wedge but I had them on another car and they are a vast improvement on the usual 7" lamps. I also know someone who fitted then on an S3 an he said they made a reasonable improvement.

Got mine from ebay shop Boltonbits

I put some in a friend's Wedge. The beam pattern is a little different but they turn night into day!

I've been using Osram nightbreaker+ for the last few years. Brilliant bulbs (Literally)

Headlights

Many more suppliers on flea-bay. Search for Crystal headlights. Normally for old landrovers and original Mini.

Without sidelights (as for the Wedge) ebay "crystal headlamps land rover defender" or, to save a few sheckels, simply "7 inch Crystal headlamps".

Think this is a 7" set: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Land-Rover-Defender-Crys...

The ones you were looking at are for the US, so the beam will set the wrong way.

These are for RHD. smile

I also have a pair of plastic 'buckets' that go behind them to replace the rusted out metal ones if anyone is interested!

Hi Guys,

Karls,

Sorry, I missed the link, too many coffees!

I'll order a set.

How much do you want for the plastic buckets or maybe you can take them to BBWF if you're going?
