Just had a small oil leak - about one drip per 30s from around the pump area.

However the cause was well easy to fix - once I found the right spanner - the oil pressure sender was unscrewing itself and was quite loose. You have to tighten these with a nut-like protrusion on the front - don't twist the body. The pain in the arris was getting the spanner in there - and finding the correct size by feel - this one turned out to 1/2" a.f..

I think the last supercharger belt snap might have flailed around a bit and maybe knocked the sender - I noticed it has bent some of the pipes on the PAS rack.

Sounds like you've had a few little jobs to tend to recently Adam. Hope it all gets sorted asap.

I've a few niggles re coolant leaks myself. Rad cap on swan neck was leaking. New one sorted that then i noticed some drops of coolant on top of the bellhousing. Heater hoses on a T piece turned out to be a little loose.

I defo have a minor oil weep on one corner of the nearside rocker since i refurbed them and changed to rubber gaskets. Think perhaps they weren't the best quality. If only it was the offside i would change it in a jiffy but no it's the other one requiring lifting the plenum of course!

Ho hum. Happy wedging!

Yeah no jobs for ages then 10 come along all at once ;^(

Still apart from the ongoing gearbox niggles it is fully driveable now.

So I shall be going to work with the top down tomorrow - dodging the odd shower!

Should be an easier job for me as my rad is removed at mo , will check its tight along with anything else in front of radiator .Been taking seats out swoping them round welding the bolts to the runners and putting them back , no turning of bolt heads now and a firmer drivers seat !

Be careful with this Steve - overtightening the sender I snapped the adapter in half on a previous wedge which then involved a tortuous process with a bolt extractor! A few lbf is easily enough.

OK i'll have to confess as well -- WILDROVER [sandy] his oil was pouring out at a rate of knots like 1ltr per second over garage floor, one of the rubber pipes werent tight enough.yikes sorted now. [sorry bud] had to spill the beans.

I have Power Assisted induction too!!!

The PAS does come in handy with 225's on the front - I can handle 205's on manual though...
