Windscreen washers....
Discussion
Hi guys, like most people I guess I have been using the screen wash additives to the washers on all our cars during the winter. Anyone have any experience of the best way to flush this residual gunk out of the systems? The wedge is relatively simple to do but other cars may have closed / long runs of tubing and one way valves etc. I do not have access to air lines but wondered if there was a product out there that people have used etc
TIA

Hi
The water tank can be removed and flushed out with plain water and then refill with plain water and flush the system by using it! It would be best to wet the screen before hand so no scratching can happen or remove blade from screen! Keep flushing untill clean water comes out!
It sounds simple but best way to do it!

On top of this after washing it out I put a couple of inches of water in mixed with bleach.
Then I flush this through the washer until you can smell it on the windscreen and leave it a few hours.
Then rinse out the tank again and fill it with whatever you use (I just use water and w/u liquid with a bit of bleach or sugar in the winter - stops it freezing.)
