Hi all,

I'm looking for an angel

Can anyone help with a wiper arm and/or speedo drive for the Tasmin (four speed gearbox)?

It should be MoT'd within the next week or so. bowWe have been working on it for 2 1/2 years and it was never on the road for the previous owner - 5 years, so I really don't want these to hold it up!

Thanks chaps and chapesses, Shane beerdrink methinks a bit of liquid will pass the lips when this happens!

In case it helps ....

There are a range of speedo drive wheels for Ford gearboxes, they were used to calibrate the gearbox for the speedo. I believe all Ford gearboxes were set up for 1000 turns per mile.

I'm pretty sure that the 4 speed boxes come from a 3.0 or 2.8 Capri.
They were also used in stuff like the Scimitar - perhaps those parts suppliers may have one ?

The 5 speed drive *might* be the same, haven't been able to confirm. May still be available. Again try a 2.8i Capri.

Get any old drive that'll fit the box for now - I don't think the speedo accuracy is checked at the MOT. Just that the miles increment.
