Hi chaps how do i alter the mixture on a flapper?

Is there a screw i adjust on the flapper itself?

Clockwise to lean off, anti clockwise to richen it up?

Cheers Jimbo

Hi
its the allen screw on the flapper unit that alters the mixture, as you say, clockwise (screw it in) to richen.

90 degrees either way will make a big difference to the CO reading.

There have been lots of discussion on the pros and cons of adjustable fuel pressure regulators on here, from a personal perspective i have one on mine and on the Hub dyno it enabled me to find an extra 15Hp by tweeking as well as keeping within the MoT emissions requirements! IMPO it is all about what will give you a real increase in performance vsv the cost and complexity. Better breathing with K&N, cool air flow and over size trumpets, good headers and fuel flow will give some real increases without a huge investment.

Hi guys thanks for the replies. The reason i ask is because since i had my engine tune up the car feels a little reluctant to rev out at the top end compared to before. It was running rich before and now it has been leaned off. I think he adjusted the 'vernier'? in the flapper. Does this make sense?

sounds like he tuned for economy, not power. power tuning has a richer AFR than normal tuning.
