Crazy weekend just managed to get out of Norway on Friday night before the airport security guys went on strike and had less than 48hrs before flying to the states Sunday but never to miss an opportunity, me and Katie took the wedge to Pitlochry in the sunshine, proof attached!!!! Distillery tour, quite fascinating, few beers and a nice overnight stop.

Fantastic trip there and back but overwhelmed by the wedges performance, heading south tootling along just above 70 we passed a Porker GT3, he tagged behind us for a few miles and as we approached a speed camera I saw I was doing ooooh about 72mph so eased off. GT3 came alongside, little wave from him and I slotted in behind him. He blipped the throttle and dropped a cog, I had already done the same and away he went giving it the beans, I did the same thinking he would pull away but the wedge had lifted its kilt, showed a set of hairy gonads to the German and stayed behind him. Of course we both realised that 76 mph was way too fast and not law abiding so eased off and a mile or two later the GT3 indicated right and as I drew level he gave us a huge grin and thumbs up. I’m sure the GT3 would have eaten the wedge if the speed went well into the triple fingers but I was whooping like a five year old. Katie just rolled her eyes but I know secretly she was as proud of the wedge as I was plus nice to give and receive respect from an owner of another marquee.
Suffice to say in a different world now of six lanes, gas guzzlers (I have an economy rental, top whack 24mpg !!) long commutes but in good flowing traffic more akin to go karting. Lots of nice cars and great V8’s pity my suitcase is not big enough as the cost of car parts is ridiculous, set of rear shocks for my jeep $40 or £25 in old money damnit no wedge parts though.
Anyhow home next week to a few jobs on the wedge plus I'm goona work on the boss for some things for the BBWF raffle, hopefully there maybe a bottle of the uisge beatha, "water of life"
