Team!!

I have got an old ignition amplifier that sits under the coil at the moment.

After a bit of an issue on the weekend which resulted in the car not having any high tension spark from the coil, and a subsequent 'calibrated whack' to the ignition amplifier that solved the problem, I am thinking that an upgrade to a new dizzy and the like to do away with it and to cut out another potential problem!

Has anyone had any dealings with these?

If I can get some positive answers Ill order one so that I can make it to BBWF.

Failing that, any other suggestions considered at this stage.

I`d say at that price and with a 3yr warranty its got to be worth a go.

I`ve just ordered some leads and rotor arm and cap from this guy, not fitted yet though.

Hi Stu

This would be fine for your car fella .... make sure that you get the correct male or female drive on the bottom that suits your engine. Did not hear from you today but if you need the timing gun let me know pre next weekend.

Hi Chris

Been on my back most of the day, bloody killing me!

I did manage to get the thermostat housing off and it was stuck wide open, so that needs sorting too.
Will I have to pull the dizzy to check wether its a male or female drive or is there an easier way?

Ill need to order it this week and take a chance I think or I wont get a chance to fit it!

Also got 2 other amps being sent, so that might suffice to get me to BBWF

Hi Carsy,
Let me know how you get on with the leads, arm and cap please, as I was looking at them earlier tonight.
They seem a damn good price too, worth a punt at £30 a set.
