Here's today "Top Tip":
When investigating why your driver's side headlight pod has stopped popping up, after two hours of dismantling, wiring checks, multimetering all cables, it's very definitely a really good idea to check the fuse in the glovebox!
Always check the basics should be all of our motto!
D**n f**king thing and in the cold and rain too!
Ho hum, all sorted now, fingers crossed.
If I can just get my last two alloys "blown over" to remove the blue hand painting on them, at least it'll look presentable for the fest next Saturday ;-)
Enjoy the last week of fettling before the fest & see you all there.

Check the fuse and relay first, always!

Reminds me of a radiation monitor I had on the bench a few years ago. It wasn't working properly and the first couple of quick things we try hadn't worked so I went to get the service manual, reached for my screwdriver and stripped it to a bare board. I systematically measured every component but could find nothing wrong. Went for lunch, came back, started desoldering components and swapping new ones in, then rebuilt the monitor and tried it again. Still no luck.

After about 7 hours of this it dawned on me that I'd picked up another instrument, one that had nothing wrong with it, and stripped that instead of the faulty one banghead
