But i am amazed! Premium this year £803 with Norwich Union through my broker. Rang around and was getting quoted similar. Had my monthly mag from the union i am in at work - AMICUS stating they offer members car insurance etc. Got an online quote of £306 so i rang to confirm this price, which they did. No sooner had i put the phone down, in disbelief, i realised they didnt even ask where i park it or if its alarmed etc.
So i assumed that this was a bit of a "try on" and these questions would be asked when the paperwork came in the post and they would increase the premium accordingly!
Well i have checked and double checked the documents and lo and behold i am insured for unlimited mileage, parked in the street, i have an immobiliser (but they dont even ask about it)and get this.....my WIFE of 28 is on the policy at no extra charge!!!(but i'm not telling her that
the company is here......www.frizzell.co.uk/amicus/homepage
Try the online quote and see if they are any good for you.

£446... absolutely pants. It was £280 on renewal earlier this year, with lower excesses (though limited miles admittedly) through Classicline.

£460 f/comp protected - unlimited miles (no voluntary xs) - against £245 limited to 5K miles with C/Line... Considering it's a specialist high performance car it is surprising they come even close.. normally a mainstream insurer like that will decline or charge 4 figures.. hence why so many specialist brokers can do better..
