Oh it get's better!

So having got the car back together ready for this weekend (please check out my post 'advice on removing gear lever') i decided to tidy the garage up and found this:



directly underneath the car where i was working on the gear lever bush thingy. So chaps any ideas where it is from? Is it anytghing to do with the gearlever at all or is it just coincidence?

Does it not snap into/around the plastic cup that your new ball sits in?

i used one of those not long ago in a garden hose to make it stop leaking.... you sure it's a wedge part?

Hmmm i don't think so as there is no way it could have fallen onto the garage floor because of the housing around the linkage.

I wonder if it is something to do with the lever itself where you have the spring and cup?

Thisk positive - if it doesn't affect the gearshift then your car will accelerate slightly faster due to being that bit lighter....
