Have you checked the thermostat? Are the hoses connected correctly (an easy mistake to make)
Have you bled the unit? does it continuue to push out coolant, even when the level is low or are you just over filling it/

I understand they are ford engines, so take it to a local ford dealer, or even better a Ford Capri specialist

Helo old chap, Peice of pi55 really, i had the same thing on mine. First change the rad cap make sure you get the right one not just a replacment of what you have, if you need to know i can run outside and have a look at my one, Then fill with correct amount of coolant to the top, Go for a blast loads will spill out when you stop and that should be that, They have a natural level they like to be filled to. if you over fill it simply overflowes, I top mine up once a week or so and sometime after a blast there is a puddle under neath, Email off line and i will give you my number if you need any more help

You could always try Team Blitz (www.teamblitz.com) who are well respected ford capri experts in the States I believe.

Could be head gasket, if just rebuilt ?
Would also be down on power of course .
Mine overheated til I replaced the fan, since then no probs.

UShavingtrouble,
Where are you located? I'm in NJ (Southern bit)

1. Has the head been retorqued.
2. Do you get pressure in top hose before the thermostat opens?

Do you need any pages of the manuaL, I can e-mail them to you.

Jeff
