Right chaps, advice time.

I have bought a full new Mallory Dizzy kit. Coil, Resistor, Morroso Leads. I am going to tackle it the weekend. Never attempted this before so all tips and advice will be greatfully revieved.

I have a strobe light for resetting the timing also.

The most important thing is getting it lined up correctly:-
Check, double check and check again the orientation of the dizzy itself.
Mark the cap of the old one with the HT lead numbers.
Mark the new cap the same.
Replace the HT leads one at a time.
If possible cut off any old spade connectors off the existing LT cables and crimp on new ones.
It's a very easy job if you pay attention to detail.

I have been running a the Malory setup for a few years. The one single piece of advice I'd give is to make sure the wiring especially the earth for the dizzy is spot on otherwise you will blow the module. if you blow a module sort out the cause then buy the cheaper espark replacement. It's good Upgrade I take it you have got the oil drive gear sorted at the foot of the dizzy?

I set the 390 at 5 deg on premium fuel with no pinking. The guys on the rolling road accepted it as ok.Best of luck.
