Rack Ends (from the steering rack that has the track rod on)

1983 350i i require rack ends (the bit from the steering rack that has the track rod attached to)does anybody know a part number or an alternative that i can make fit?

Do you mean track rod ends, track rods or the securing nut that locks the track rod to the rack itself?

The rack is usually Mk 3/4 Cortina as are the track rod ends but rumour has it that the track rods themselves are from the Granada as they were longer than the Cortina ones.

I found it just as cheap to get rack refurbed £70/£80 then you know whole rack is ok

Hi Mate..There was a listing on the wedge pages and the part number was UNIPART GSJ119..I think they are granada..Here is a link..You might need gaiters as well..Check before you buy though, You can email the supplier..Hope this helps..Ziga
