Just having a look through old photos.. Black 390SE (past) and Green 400SE (present)

The black one was the louder of the 2..

I'll get a few more upto date photos done tomorrow when the weather is a bit better..

Simon how did the 390 ride/handle on the 17" Azevs?

Looks the business by the way.

The azevs and full adjustables made for a bumpy and darty ride, but very go kartish on the right roads.. The rear tyres were 35 series but as you can see, the car suited those wheels and with it sitting lower made for a menacing look for the old car.. And it's black, could you ask for more..

You're absolutely right those wheels suit the wedge because the angles are nice and sharp. I have heard people talk of ruining the ride etc with 17's but they are tempting.

I have always had a hankering for a nice 390 too...............

Hmmmmmm...........................

Well, each to there own.. I loved the way it looked and drove. As you can see from the piccies, the car was very low, so much so our drive had to be modded to get the car into the garage so not to damage the exhaust.
My 400SE is a lot softer and not as hard core as the black one, but the stance just made it look great..
Just go for it, who cares what others may say, its your toy, it will look ace..

The wheels were MK2 Granada. I recall i had in the pile of receipts the purchase of the wheels and they were ordered for a MK 2 Granny which is the same stud pattern.. The front wheels not as wide as the rears with a polished lip..

Double cannons sounded like thunder and the popping going down a hill was hypnotic..
The 400 doesn't sound the same..

Yes, that 390 looks great.

Who made up and fitted the exhaust?
