Getting confused
Discussion
Im trying to find out what discs i need for the new princess 4 pot calipers i have just aquired. According to the wedge pages i need Unipart GBD109 or Unipart FDB167. Can anyone tell me which part number is correct for a 1983 350i please? Sizes of the disc would also be a big help. Cheers lads.

For reference.....
The Mk2 granny is indeed the 'boxy' one, bearing a resemblence the the boxy MkIV and V cortinas.
They also had very similar front suspension/crossbar etc arrangements...and shared quite a few engines too. They did share stuff like door/lock hardware and so on.
I always thought the curvy one was a Mk3 and most people called it a 'Scorpio' (whether it really was or not)
The curvy Scorpio has TOTALLY DIFFERENT suspension, disc and sliding calipers (the ones with only one piston in them).
The (original) Granny calipers were in fact the same as the Cortina ones (M16, the metric version of the widely used PB16), but later X pack , and some Estates go the vented disc variety.
As far as I know the only difference in the calipers is the spacing, so the same pads as the non-vents should work, but not absolutely sure about that..
You can by spacer kits for M16 calipers though...
If you specify a 2.8,Mk2 estate, or X pack, you should get the right discs....

As I said - I always thought the Jelly Mould one (no doubt following the Sierra styles) WAS the Mk3 and followed directly from the 'boxy' one - Was there one in between or was it a Mk2 with extra body bits ???
Here we go:Granada Mk1

Granada Mk2

Granada Mk3

Scorpio
