Sounds like you got off very cheaply to me. Be thankful your wedge has not cost you as much as mine has for me.

Hi

Wedg'ing is not that expensive!

I have recently purchased two wedge's for less than the cost of one new fitted kitchen, now that's expensive! £19k + ouch!

I could have got the white 420SEAC and got change!

Auld Thunderpants has cost me a few bob! Too. I had a wee contingency when I bought it and it's well gone now.. But I enjoy it.. It's a challenge, especially with this steering drama just now..

Once all the coffers go then I'd have to reconsider things or if her indoors says enoughs enough then again I'd have to rethink my TOY ownership.. but in the meantime, scraped knuckles, blood, sweat and tears and empty pockets are all part of the fun..

Mine has cost an arm and a leg. I'd hate to think what in terms of money spent thus far suffice to say that virtually every mechanical part has either been replaced or refurbed. Today I'm fitting new front brake calipers as the Princess 4 pots I had before were a bit too heavy on the steering.

I keep telling my wife it's nearly finished but the there is a viking prophecy that is due to be fulfilled in the shape of Ohlin the God of superior dampers....

The cost of this year's MOT took my total spend on my 390SE to £3032.23... in 12 years. That's £252.68 a year. Or for the mileage I've done, about 12p a mile on maintenance. You can add to that 5.36p a mile for insurance and 22.5p a mile for petrol.... say 40p a mile all-in.

Oh wait, I forgot the depreciation biggrin
Let's see, I paid about £6250 for the car, now say it's worth 50% of that... £3125. That adds another 12.5p a mile, for a total of 52.5p a mile.

Can you go a mile on a bus or in a taxi for under 53p? Assuming you're not a pensioner, that is.

Hardly bank-breaking, is it? biggrin
