Mr Tank update!
Discussion
Hi
With all the going on with gettting the yellow beast etc I have not as promisied keeped you up to date with my legs and few kind people have asked so here's just a brief update!
Well you know I made BBWF (With the help of a few friends) my legs were not a lot of good on the day, My original idea was that I intended standing up to present the prizes. But no they were just to painful, even whilst just sitting in the chair, let alone stand.
Since the fest things have improved a little I can know stand and walk a few feet with the assistanse of a walking frame. I can even drive my Range Rover (Due to hand controls) thats when I can get to it!
As of next month Parcel Force will have retired me on ill health grounds, (Great more time to work on the Tiv's.)
We have now also purchased a house which means I can do more on my own as I am now on the ground floor instead of three flights of stairs up!
But the Doctors say it will be at least another year before they will know how much mobility I will have!
So its still along way to go, but with the support from my friends and some of you I will get there!
The day I can get into any of my TVR's and then drive them will be a great day!
Thank you all again for your support and best wishes over the last few months!
Andy

Hi Andy...Glad to hear there has been some improvement..As slow as it is its still progress...Living on a third floor sounds like a complete nightmare for you so now you can at least be a bit more independant in your new home..Are you having a painting or house moving party?..Ill bring a paint brush and a bottle of rusty....

I dont blame you, any plans to put the collection under one roof ?.
HiMy collection plans are simple, the six road cars will live in the six brick built garages I rent at present, the other two (The race cars) will live in the new extended garage/workshop at my new home (When it's built) which is just over 800yds from my garages. So it's not far to walk (When I can walk that far) or ride on a mobility scooter!
Yes I would love to put them all together, and maybe get some more and open a working TVR Museum. but that would require a large lottery win!
It's a Dream!

That's the state of our press

I guess there is still a long road ahead, I shattered my tibia and broke my fibula 5 years ago, nothing like what you have suffered, I had just one month in hospital. To a small degree I understand what your going through, it must be tough, not just physically!
All the best for your recovery, house move and general upheaval.
Chris.
Hi Andy, I rarely venture into this forum so sorry for the late wishes. Glad you're on the mend (albeit slowly) and that you also now have a house on the way which should help greatly with getting around and being comfy at home.
I'm guessing Mr Hills is happy as a pig in.... with all those cars to keep clean
and the SEAC and Tuscan racer look fantastic.
Being a local lad if I can be of any assistance please let me know, else I hope the recovery continues and you're back in the drivers seat soon.
