Best price I can find is around £100+VAT for a pump and I figure with all those rover V8s out there, there must be a better option...

Any suggestions where to try?

That is a good price...
Sometimes come up on eBAY...

Range Rovers, SD1 etc use in tank pumps which are not compatible.

Paid over 200 euro's so it seems like a good price. I fitted a bosch pump. You can fit a lot of different ones, if they fit in the bracket and have fuelhose fittings on both ends (and not the newer type output). But make sure it can put out enough volume!!

? I clicked on the Rimmer link and got £125 inc delivery, or an extra £50 for the high performance one.

Neil, if I am reading the Rimmer bro site correctly then you have ordered the one for carb engines, PRC3901. I think that you need Auu1649 www.rimmerbros.co.uk/cgi-bin/rimmer?findpart&PartID=AUU1649&Page=v8engine/pumps

at least, if not the high performance one.

Nifty link though, cheers.

If you take the old pump off & quote the part number to your local motor factors, they should be able to supply you with an exact equivalent - or better - off the shelf.

Recently bought one for Nellie (5ltr Injection V8) for £79.00 & VAT.

Good Luck!

Thanks for your help guys

After checking all the links etc. finally came up with someone who recommended V8 Developments who do fuel pumps for £75, around £98 with VAT and shipping included which I thought was pretty impressive. Duly arrived next morning all present and correct

Try Demon Tweeks - Competition standard units for around £60 and solid state ones for the ton.
I have one off a 350 in the Garage - e mail for a price and info.
