280 motor mounts

My L/H and R/H rubber insulators used on the 280i motor mounts are actually differant sizes. Is this normal and does anyone know the source of these. I am looking for alteratives.

Hey - tough looking motor !

I don't know if they're supposed to be different sizes.
(my car is away getting clutch fitted at present,so can't check), but would seem unlikely.

Why not look at Capri 2.8 V6, as they did a stateside version.

I don't know if Ford 'Granada' was marketed there, but that's your other choice.

My garage tell me that the mounts are Capri 2.8i,
and that one of mine needs replacing

Thanks for the reply. There aren't many Capri's left over here to inspect. Sorry that I brought it up in your case. I've re-re-thought the engine mounting and I am back to the Ford mounts. Your welcome to one of mine ,especially if your going thru with the cammer engine conversion. If you want it, let me know the diameter and thickness, as mine are differant.
