Hi peeps..Left this morning for the bishop stortford meet..Met up with chris..Got to the dartford toll...Paid my 1.50....Delilah stalls and wont even turn over..Nothing..Nada..Zilch..Caputen..Then i get a sinking feeling as i look behind me..An instant mile worth of traffic building up..eek..Guy in booth.."Oh dear".."Better get you over there"..And points to a verge where the patrol vehicles sit..They had to close about six lanes to my left and push me over there..Good job i was with chris as he saved the day..I found a terminal hanging off the starter but chris was on it like a shot..Jump started her up and continued on our merry way.."Phew"..Thanks chris...We then arrived at the Bishop stortford classic car meet and saw this dodgy bloke with some TVRs...

Ah, the old cranking wire problem... been there, had that. Crappy bloody push-on Lucar connectors are the usual cause. You used to be able to get latching female connectors but I haven't seen them for a while... they had a springy bit that dropped into the small hole in the male tag (that's why it's there) to stop them falling off.

Are pickup trucks so rare there that they deserve to be in a car show?

The only North American rides I saw there and liked was the Chevy Bel Air and the T-bird.

Some really great pics of some cars I've never seen though. Thanks for the post.

Hi ian..It had a round fitting type cap with a thread inside it and that was squeezed down a bit to fit over a spade end terminal, No wonder it came off!..Its been replaced with the correct fitting now...Cheers...Ziga
