Me and Mrs H in both wedges, driving through Macclesfield today, on our way to Tatton Classic Car show. Stopped at lights - a bunch of kids, says.....

Q: Nice car mister - is he with you (meaning Mrs H behind me)
A: That's no he - that's my Mrs and that's her car.
Q: Do you live in a mansion?
A: No, we can only afford a little house after paying for the fuel in these two cars.

..........by the way, the TVR stand had a mass start up at 3pm. We had our own, from the car park.

Great photies Neil.. Last time I had a kid comment when I was in the 400 it was something about being 'fat'.. almost got out the car and clipped his ear, realised he meant 'phat' and was talking about the TVR.. (although technically he would have been right on both counts )

Not sure my neighbours think I live in a mansion with me 2 wedges !!

More like a run down back yard garage, with the blue 400 still being worked on, 350 on ramps to fix the handbrake and the Omega in bits replacing front wishbones !

Mind you one of the neighbours stopped to talk to me, as he wanted to borrow the engine hoist for his sons car ! He had a nice new air compressor delivered last week, so a swap might be on the cards for a while.

We even had a guy 2 doors down say he was going on holiday and we could park on his driveway for 2 weeks. So left the Peugot and Celica there.

Now where can I put the motorbike temporily as old engine now in shed in bits ?

Mansion neither, so use the backroad to park up our 4 cars. And only have the one being worked on (mostly the wedge) on the concrete slab, that should become a carport for a full two cars. Sometimes people ask if the neighbourhood is using the backroad for parking, and we have to say no....., and start the explanation routine.
