Hi peeps...well i have been shopping around for insurance on a big valve V8 wedge 350i with stage 3 heads today as i was considering a divorce with delilah..Unfortunately i live in one of the worst post codes for motor insurance although i dont know why, Ive lived here for over 20 years and have never seen or heard anything bad..Its been a conservation area for the last 15 years??...Anyway first i thought i would try the company im currently with..900 sobs for fully comp with a 250 excess..eek...Then i thought i would check compare the meerkat and only one company would touch it and they wanted just over 4K....Double..eek...Then i tried A flux..646 sobberoonies with a 500 excess...hurl..So i went back to my insurance company and asked how much would it be for my car with a supercharger on it...Another 160 squidlies...In all honesty i was intending on having a race prepared engine built anyway so maybe stick to plan A...An SX280i....Or i could just move...scratchchin

Mark, I have a spare room and an empty garage if you can cook and clean. biggrin

(Never paid more than 160 quid to insure a V8 Wedge...and that was after making a claim on it !).

Age a few years Mark and add your parents to the drivers, thats a trick we learned when finding insurance for Carlos Fantango and his mini,it was around £190 around here for the wedge with all the mods. Half the problem will be that its parked on the road,is it alarmed, how about limited mileage,we found they wanted to charge more for third party than for fully comp with his mini. So when are you gonna reach your 40th birthday Mark!!!!! ?

Is it purely the area do you think, how long you had delilah? Maybe you should move oop norf for cheaper living.

Nah, do it *properly* and b*gger off to another country like what we did. Sod the speed bumps, speed cameras, parking fines and come to one of the most beautiful countries in the world, and also if you're very lucky, you might see some hobbittses. It's a hell of a lot prettier than Manchester, where I was dragged up.

You can even bring Delilah in for free (unless they've changed the rules again)

('course in reality you swop one set of annoyances for others....but it is a truly great country for cruisin' - although the roads aren't that flash...)

Come to sunny Wellington, where it's so windy that it can rain upwards !!

Hi Mark,

try RH insurance. I am not that far from you and for the Chimp I pay around £22 per month including European breakdown cover. It was only a tenner for the Stag though!

But if I recall, you park out on the street... didn't you go chasing after someone that bumped you? Going to cost more.

I park behind a plate steel gate and have 110 pounds of snarling protection and they charge more b/c it isn't a proper garage.
