rear underbumper spoiler
Discussion
Number 7 is correct: only pre-'87(ish) 390SEs had a detachable spoiler that was almost a true wing; Series 2 (well OK, let's say '88-on, largely) cars got the combined bumper/wing that Neil's pic shows; this was then integrated into the shell to become the 400SE and later variants.
The combined/ integrated version is nothing like a true wing; it has aerofoil sections at each end but the middle just has the lower surface and no top, so it's even less use than the full wing, which isn't a complete aerofoil either (having a hole through it for one pipe, a moulded recess for another pipe and another recess to clear the silencer).
Steve Heath claimed to have ripped his wing off on a tyre wall, noted no difference in the handling but saved 25Kg in weight.
It is at best a cosmetic affectation and at worst, more weight for no gain
Looks good though
