Theres nothing wrong with poly's bush...hehe..When i was replacing some bushes on mine i was going to go for poly but they were three times the price and three times as hard which means there is probably not enough flex in them..I know they are ok for a tracked car but after speaking with Dan taylor he hit the nail on the head when he said "Whats wrong with original".."They have lasted 30 years already"...I dont supppose they are that bad...How did you get on with the disc's..Any pic's...Ziga

Yep i had this problem when i polybushed the drop links. There just was not enough clearance to then get the nut back on.

In the end i said f@@k it and stuck on some SH drop links instead

Hi mark decided to leave the discs for another day to give my finger ends time to stop bleeding. Like jimbo said they take some getting on. I went for the poly bushes just because of the distortion of the rubber ones at the top of the tie bar but like you said they have been on a while.

Sounds familiar.. I have the purply ones on as well, within a matter of weeks they'd compressed out of shape and are probably just as shot as the rubber ones I took out rolleyes

It'll be interesting what you think of how the car drives and if they last... I put rubber bushes on my car from a certain welsh supplier and they'd split within a week. They were a sod to get on too.

Moral of the story is to use OE quality material not cheap sawdust filled cr*p, then maybe they'll last another 30 years!

Yep... the ball joints from them went straight into the bin; machining as rough as hell, ungraded nuts/bolts. Rubber bushes weren't even concentric, same destination.

The only bits I percevered with was the roll bar bushes, should have gone with my first instincts! I thought they'd be easy to swap out again... doh!

Kim said I had to paint it red. Looking forward to see how it stops when the 4 porters are on. I have heard good reports about the improvement. Oh Aye Campbell Kim said she wanted the calipers painted red as well lol.

Just have to get the doctor to sort my back out before I can attempt to fit them.
