Hi Mate..I think Chimaera seats will fit straight in..Nissan NSX200 will with runners..Recaro, Cobra..MG..You mainly have to check the runner position and will probably need a mod..Also the width of the seat has to be considered as the ones in mine are ever so slightly too wide and rub on the centre console...Ziga

You could try douglas valley breakers but they are not cheap..

Late model Jag XJS ones look superb. There was a thread on here a few years ago, I'll see if I can find it.

I bought XJS seats and they were waaaaaaaay too wide. Still got em if anyone's interested. In fact I've got a complete interior.

I have Porsche 924/944/911 seats in mine.

They needed extra brackets made up to fit on the runners and are a tight fit, but very comfy.

The Wedge seats are very narrow but have an unusually long base squab... goes right to the back of your knees for better support (unless you're Lurch from the Adams family). Even the boss's Merc doesn't have seats that long biggrin

A mate of mine from Mansfield put ex-Rover leather seats in his early Tasmin... they fitted quite well and still had the electrics pack fitted but I don't know if he ever worked out how to power them. This was about 1997/8 so probably late 80s/ early 90s model Rover... 400? 800?

Porsche ones do occasionally come up cheap, I only paid a fiver for mine as they had just been recovered in a very unusual (for a Porsche) green velour which perfectly matched the interior of my wedge.

I have now got some grey leather ones and was thinking of trying to die them green

The Elephant's seats were based on MG Montego Turbo but using slightly differents pads and finishing, so they would fit in most wedges ok. Not much room to spare around them but they are pretty comfy!

My SEAC has MG Montego seats too; but they'll only fit if you have the narrower SEAC central spine - I guess the elephant has that too.

However, I suspect there's more SEACs around than there are MG Montegos, so finding a set of seats isn't easy - if anyone knows of some let me know!!

I have purchased some magnolia leather MR2 seats because they look nice and were very cheap for the pair £40 however I have not tried yet to see how they fit.

What do look good are Recaro's from RS Turbo Escort (the old one) but unless you're luck leather or half leather ones are not inexpensive.

Personally I do not like the stock wedge seats as they look like they're designed for two hundred years old Montego drivers and I'm just a recycled teenager like Zig.
