BBWF 2013

Hi

It's that time of year again when the organisation of BBWF for next year needs to start taking place!

At the begging of this month the question was asked who wants to or is willing to organise and run BBWF next year!

So far I have been the only mug who has put there name forward to run the event!

Please if anybody else wants to run it, come forward by the end of next week so the organising can be handed over to you, that's if the forum are happy to have you run the event!

Sadly i dont have the time to do the organising so I cant put my name up for that challenge but i think I speak for Scottish Wedgers/TVR owners, could the new organiser think of those North of the border and instead of the event being roughly low/mid England, think about having it roughly middle GB, some come from Aberdeen which makes it a fair old trek.. Although I'm sure the travelling is not that much of an issue.. Its just something to bear in mind for those from Scotlandshire...

That is always a problem Tony (TopTon) tried to find a a sutable place last year for this years fest. He did a lot of work, but didn't find a sutable place.

I have even looked at a place in North Wales, The Hotel which the Wedge Christmas Fest was held at a few years ago.

This will be a place I am happy to look at in more details if people want me to!

With the Chase as the stand bye if a sutable place can't be found.
The problem is a new place will have to be found reasonable quickly as things get booked up very quickly in the New Year!

Just been looking through all the possibles...Its not that easy trying to find somewhere that ticks all the right boxes..What would be an ideal location..Middle earth?...Leeds..Manchester..Birmingham...Perhaps someone can have a look as well..My brain hurt's...

As I said Tony tried very hard last year with no sucsses!
He found plenty of Hotels but none who would agree to the idea of their car parks being used the way the Chase allows!
I have my self even been on to a few and its the same, no matter what you say they are no prepaired to allow a bunch of Petrol Heads take over the car parks etc!
The only Hotel who has was in Blackpool but not to the same level as the Chase!

As nobody else has put there name forward to take on the running of BBWF 2013.

I will start the planning now unless the forum have any objection to me running the Fest for another year!

I will keep looking up north for the next week or so as well as provisional speak to the Chase.

Now has anybody know of event on a Sat in July next year which will clash with the fest?

Thanks for those two dates, know anybody know what date F1 is on at Silverstone, even though its on a Sunday it can have an effect on the Fest!

German GP is on the 13th/14th but how about going for a Sunday Lunch/watch the race somewhere if we have it that weekend?
