thanks ,
it was sold back to the original owner , in scotland . i think i sold it in 1998,after 3 1/2 years ownership.
number plate came with the car , took her twice to Le Mans, first time the fuel pump failed in Cherbourg on the return trip, about 2 hours after the photo was taken...lol
if i remember correctly it had 3 fuel pumps fitted, in my time as owner !
when the original owner ordered the car i think she said it cost in excess of £33000, back in 1991...! a new griffith cost £24k in '91 !
it was my 2nd TVR , first being a S1, and i have owned 2 chimaera's since.

speedo showed in excess of 150.....dont know how accurate they were !
she was pretty poor on fuel economy , chimaera was much better !
i didnt like the colour when i purchased the car, it grew on me....the reason i purchased her was she was so comftable on a long journey...a great driving position and also the best noise ..112db at castle combe scrutineering !

Great car and stories - would love to take the wedge to Le Mans sometime. I personally love the colour -wasn't that automatic left-hooker that was in Octane a while back the same colour?

Ahhh, well since the second daughter came, my 400SE has been sat in the garage and aside from being moved to get to things at the back, hasnt seen tarmac for 18 months.
Likewise, work has restricted my Le Mans attendance and I havnt been for 4 plus years (Last time I was there, TVR ran the Peninsula T440's, and the Levellers did a concert on Saturday night)

Did the bike thing a few years ago, and really miss it, sadly not enough money or space to keep all the toys and hobbies.

If I get a chance, Ill drop by the showroom, say "Hello"
