I know it's an old topic...

Yatesy's search for original 15" lattice wheels has spurred me on to try and find some centres for the set I've had sat in my shed for years.

I've measured the hole and it's 72mm, could someone measure one of their caps to see what the narrowest and widest point of the clip area is.

These are the closest I've found so far:

just wondered if they are going to be slightly too small?

Cheers

They aren't that far off the originals - taper slightly more but what the hey.

If they are a little too small why not make up a little collar (like a spigot ring) and stick it into the hole? As it's not load bearing you could even make it from sheet aly bent into a circle (or similar).

They look incredibly similar to the original lattice wheels

I had mine off a few months ago whilst getting the wheels refurbished. The centre caps at the front were smaller than the rear...
I guess thats a specific type of wheel?

The smaller caps will be marked up as M141 on the inside of the front face.
The larger caps will be marked up as M140 on the inside of the front face.

I used to have many sets of M141's (pre PH days), I unloaded them on a popular auction site, second hand sets sold for £~35 for four, but I also had four new ones in their original bags they sold for £~135!

It was take them or leave them as the factory had not had stock for some years.

Regards,

Chris.

A solution has been found, anyone care to guess as to what car they are off?

I know they don't protrude as much as the originals but they metal so hopefully I won't lose them.

I now have a set of non original OZ 15" lattice wheels to dispose of

Thanks

No, not off a Merc. The flat Merc centres do just about fit but don't look right. I had bought a set previously as they were all I could find

<I need a new wheel - do you have any pics of the OZs you've got?>

I've never seen wheels like these on any other car, they are in ok condition but the paint is peeling on the outer rims (looks like damage done by tyre fitting machine) so could do with a re-paint.

They originally had OZ badges

Hmm - I only need one and that would look a bit too different from the others. Thanks for sending the pic though.

You might be able to get yours repaired, there are companies out there who can straighten buckles.

Cheers
