Could you kindly tell me where you buy decent quality front wheel bearings and which model to specify? Can't remember if they are Cortina or Granada or which year. Searching on here suggests TVR Car Parts but I know they have now disappeared. Finally hunted down - or rather paid through the nose for - some Princess 4 pots so thought I would bung in some new bearings at the same time as converting. Many thanks.

Hi,

They are Granada, I bought my last one from http://www.lmsspares.co.uk/branches/

To be on the safe side I took the old one in for them to match up

Cheers

Granada MkII to be precise.

Actually, the larger roller bearing of the two is the same as the Cortina IV, but the smaller one is different.

Someone told me that it is possible to get the bearings themselves from the numbers etched into them, but they are hard to see, and you don't get the seals.

Few years ago I went into the local factors, Granada etc and £9 each. I think, memory bit fuzzy but not that far out.

I think I got my last ones via Evilbay... or it may have been from South Wales Propshafts as that's where I got all the bushes.
