What type of rear suspension do you have? Trailing arm or A frame?

Very difficult, without heavy mods to the suspension arms...

I think you could buy shims to adjust the camber on Cortinas, if so they should fit a wedge

I can't work it out, but found this

http://www.jcwhitney.com/camber-kits/ford-cortina/...

Thinking about it some kind of concentric sleeve on the lower wishbone mounting bolt would allow adjustment, or maybe opening up the holes in the subframe and fitting plates with offset holes to allow adjustment?

Not sure how much this would weaken things though

had a look at the site and left a message for more info.

just looking at the bottom arm with a few bits i got in the shed / i am tempted to go with the cut and weld route as this can adjust the caster?

Can any body help . what is the standard compression length of the front spring on a 350se. from the side the compressed spring on my se measures 8 inches when the car is on level surface , but I would like to confirm this is normal.

The reason is to order new springs and the supplier as asked for this info

Finished lower arm mod , trial assembly today with hopefully a camber range of up to 5*.
Then stop and wait for finances to purchase coilovers unless any one is selling any with 900 ib springs and adjustable shocks.

That's a serious bit of welding/engineering there, did you do it yourself? How are you going to stop the rose joint sliding back and forward on the chassis? Pack it out/spacer either side?

Let us know who you get on. Are you taking orders?!

Offset spacers used to give an improved castor !

Currently setting up on original springs & shocks , plus fitting a 30mm dia anti roll bar

Trying to develope a car that steers and stops as good as it looks and goes.

Set the camber at 3 degree , cornering sharper and more stable.

Braking points seems to have become more predictable as well.

looking at 30mm dia anti roll bar ! next

As any body got any info. on steel used etc.

thanks

Hi, interesting build up. Is that 3 degrees - top of wheel leaning into the body or out of the body?, and is that with the wheels on road with full weight, or on jacks. Long story but I've just lowered mine to the max and the top of the wheel leans in!
