Hi peeps...Well went to dan taylors today and had the trailing arm mounts changed..The pin on the O/S was seized inside the trailing arm..Some heat from a blow torch..8 Ton of pressure from a 15 ton press and some deeblock penetrating oil did the trick..We have also identified where the possible fuel leak is coming from..As i suspected its leaking from the 2" tank collar..So a clean up and seal of pro-seal should sort it until i have some plastic tanks made..Also i have a N/S rear wheel bearing that will need doing soon..Cheers...ziga
Hi Andy...I was mistaken...The N/S pin & mount were changed last year but the O/S was on an advisory as regards to the pin being stuck in the arm..I had the pin & Mount changed today and the mount only changed on the N/S...The pin was ok..Dan cleaned up the hole in the arm and copper eased the pin so it will turn freely..Cheers...Ziga

Errr.... ? The pin isn't supposed to rotate as far as I know, it should be secure in both the t/arm and the rubber bush. Then as the arm moves it distorts the bush, the compliance of which helps the arm to return to its static position.
Perhaps i shouldnt of used the term "Turn freely"..Both bolts on each end of the pin are as tight as can be..I think the copper ease will stop the pin getting seized in the arm again...Although thinking about it the job was done on an arm lift so the bolts were only tightened with the weight off the car...Maybe a return visit is in order...Cheers...ZigaEdited by mrzigazaga on Friday 8th February 17:37

Same goes on an A-framed car (but there are a lot more bushes to consider).
