Dream destination in the wedge
Discussion
Where would you love to drive the wedge? Personally id love to take the wedge to Monaco, Marseille and over the Pyrenees into Spain! Obviously stelvio and the Italian lakes! where would you love to take the wedge? Hopefully in the next couple of years either the BAR or the Rusty lads will accompany Kim and I into a European adventure.

We're away on the above tour in sept, you're welcome to join us but I would never do it in a wedge.. Not that I don't trust em, its a bit far in one.. Well, ok, i dont trust em.. We're taking the zed.. Staying at lake como then back to blighty.
Should be a good run.
But if you're gonna do any run, head to Nice and just keep tearing about through Monaco.. That would be cool, a wedge mingling with some of the best automotive wet dreams on the planet...
We did it 2 years ago, and I was amazed at the sights and how the other half lives, let alone there toys. I didn't take the wedge but we drove there.. Wot a drive..
And it's not as ponsy as it sounds, it was on my bucket list...

A couple of years ago me and a few friends headed into europe in our cars, and I took the wedge
We headed down to Grenoble and picked up the Route Napoleon into Nice. After a couple of days around there and Monaco we headed up the Col du Turini and onwards along the Route des Grandes Alpes.
From there we crossed over into Italy, and spent a couple of days at Lake Garda before heading up Stelvio and into Austria and then Germany.
Sampled the Oktoberfest before finally pushing on to the Nurburgring and home.
This year, it's the same crowd and we're heading to dusseldorf first where we can get the car train down to Villach in Austria. From there we'll head into Slovenia and Croatia before working our way back home through the dolomites and black forest.
Out of all the above, I have to fully recommend the Route Napoleon as the single must do. It's just amazing.
Stelvio is one of those you have to do to, but I'd never do it again. If you're going to do it then you have to be up early to miss all the tourists too otherwise it will be full of slow moving vehicles and cyclists. My advice would be to spend the night in Bormio and make an early start from there.

Well I just can't resist responding.
New Zealand, and I'm already here with my wedge. There are lots of stunningly beautiful places to hoon around, and the state highways are about equivalent to UK 'A' roads (or at least when I left there 18 years ago) so don't impede the view like motorways tend to...
Even trip to 'ordinary' places still tend to have pretty scenery.... and really we only have one truly big city, Auckland. Anywhere else doesn't take long to get to countryside...

We did Nice, Monaco then off to Italy to Monte Rosso and back to Monaco for 3 days.. It was a dream hol that we probably won't do again.. Some of the car photos I got are something else.. I love the rich bloke who had 2 Porsche Panameras and a Aston DB9 in the belly of his HUGE boat, being unloaded onto the dock in Monaco.
How the other half live.
