I bought some off the shelf at my local Motor World. They do the job fine and almost cover over the holes left by the origional ones, plus you'll never notice because its always dark when you are using them

I thought about banging in an array of white LED's in the boot and mount them in the boot lining board dotted around the boot.

Crap idea??

Is this a "my car's so perfect that I only have to worry about the boot lights" thread?

One of my projects that keeps getting put on the back burner is to fit a DC powered strip lamp with an on off switch. Cut a slot to recess it in. Maplins I think. Have to bump the project up as winter is comming again. After the heater.

Can you use the back burner as the heater?

If your lights are the same as a 400Se (white opaque oval shape with a festoon lamp) then you can get them from Rimmers - same as fitted to TR7.

I had the whte opaque things, they'd dropped to bits. A quick wander round the scrappy turned up a pocketful of ex-Fiesta interior lamps that fit OK and are brighter. They also have switches on them. I rewired mine so that the lid trip switch for the alarm system also serves to activate the boot lamps (used the electric aerial feed to bring a permanent +12v feed down from the dashboard).
