right guys get the thinking hat on i have some play on the rear wheel but only on the vertical not the horizontal plane, refurb drive shafts, new a frame bushes, new wheel bearings and full set of bolts.
has anyone had this problem and could it be the bolt holes on the bottom of the hub carrier have ovald as i have changed everything else and it still persists.

I think a couple of people have had this; it turned out the bearing bore was oval allowing the bearing to tip inside the carrier. Not ideal.
All the lower bolts should be done up tight so it's hard to see how anything could be moving even if the holes were oval.
ETA: just a thought, I wonder if the fault is confined to the fabricated steel bearing carriers and not the alloy ones? I was looking at mine (slowly rusting away on the bench) and it occurred to me that maybe the welding has distorted the cylindrical housing out of shape... there are welds at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions which might have some effect once you throw in the vagaries of operator technique and equipment...
Will try to get some bore measurements from mine and see if there's any non-concentricity...
