I had the same problem with mine!
Mind you with no power steering, every journey is a trip down memory lane and saves a little on gym subscription, well for the arms workout section at least hehe
When I got it it had these Bloomin dreadful 17" 225/45 on it, which looked ok, but it handled like a bag of shicensoredte

So I did exactly the opposite of you and reverted to originals again
I think they fit the look of the car better as well, but each to their own on the styling front wink

I had the same problem with mine. Cerb wheels with 225's on the front. I've replaced them with SE wheels with 205's on and it's still heavy.

Went for a wheel alignment today and both front wheels where towing out a mile! The steering is now not bad at all to be honest. So it might be worth getting it checked out?

Next for me is the bulkhead bearing as well. Hopefully even Mrs Yatesy will be able to drive it then.

I think half the trouble is we are all so used to driving new cars with powered steering it comes as a real shock when you get in an old monster with no PAS. I do seem to get used to it the longer I'm in the car. Still a bu&&er to park though.

I've got Cerbera wheels on mine but I would swap them tomorrow for
a set of wire wheels!

Yes it's heavy on the steering but at least it stops the wife wanting to drive it!

I'll agree with the majority, go back to the originals.

I've just put a set on mine which had non original 15" OZ lattice type wheels, even though they were similar I prefer the originals. Also noticed the offset was a little different, 35 instead of 23, so the originals appear to fill the arches a bit better too.

Hi Mate
The stock wheels look much better imo, but if you wanted to change them i would try either lenzo or bbs rs, same type but with a lot more rim to polish.

Wusses! If you think the wedge is heavy, try the Rover P4, which feels like someone left the steering lock on.

That red one looks interesting Zig. Like a variation on the early wheels.
