I agree with you ref the mirrors but bumpers look OK for a S1

Look again: it has the Renault indicators... a S1 should have Lucas indicators which are bigger (count the number of ribs). OK, strictly speaking an EARLY S1 should have Lucas indicators... if you buy a replacement ribbed bumper from TET it is the later ribbed version and takes R12 indicators.

If you're being picky it's got the wrong spoiler on it too. But what a bargain.

Come on guy's..How many people buying into wedges are going to not buy because of a bumper/indicator or spoiler indifference?..Would they even know?..The main criteria is that they stand out from the crowd and shout look at me!..And TBH most people that look at mine when im driving it look at me like they wish they had one..Talking of mirrors, What were the original ones off of?..Im contemplating putting the TET ones on purely cos they look better than the cheap nasty have to keep taking them off to tighten up howlfrauds special's... If i had another garage i would snap it up at that price....shoutBARGAIN...yes

Same here FFS.

It's an £800 wedge for crying out loud, should be bought and ran. It says TVR on the front it's a wedge.

I don't think anyone on here is saying they wouldn't buy it because it's got a few later bit's on it. It certainly wouldn't bother me. Like I said bargain and it I didn't already have so many broken bikes, cars and house then I would be buying it!

One day I'd like to get a totally restored series 1 fixed head and just use it a a normal car.

Sorry mate i wasnt suggesting that..But if any potential buyers are looking in on the wedge forum..Because thats where the normally end up..And thats where i came before i bought mine then it might put them off thinking that they are not getting a true car..smile

hehescratchchin Is it though? I couldn't decide if it's an early 350i spoiler or just a 280i one with foglights rammed in nerdsilly

Oh hang on, it seems some people missed the whistle on my original post, I was trying to play Comedyadis there but here's a few roflhehebiggrin in case anyone thinks I've lost the plot... you could hardly find a less original 390 than mine, after all. type

In some ways we don't want Wedges to be cheap because you know where that leads... thrashed and crashed and ending up on some back street bangers forecourt...

At £800 it sounds crazy i saw it the other day and thaught he had missed a 1 off the beginning at least at that price its a steal if its MOTd and running there is a danger of someone buying to break for parts so if you have the space just get over there and snap it up and stop that happening.

Based on a conversation the guy had with my mate Ade. He's been rebuilding it for four years. It's had a lot of work done but is a none runner. He has never had it running in that time?

If it still available tomorrow at that price it will be living next to the yellow peril in my garage for a few weeks. Ade couldn't get there today unfortunately.

I'll be surprised if it doesn't sell unless there are some major issues.

I'll let you know the outcome.

This one is now sold. (I did not get it).
This is number 5014. Rumoured to be ex-Peter Wheelers.
