Recorded and watched it this evening, good programme and i reckon Ed does a cracking job on most of the stuff the old
gets in for him to work on.Really went to town on the 'Cerb',not a quick job getting that lot off, thought i mis-heard the guy at RT when he said the price for the revamped chassis, missed off a couple of zeros then the price came up at the end which was more like it. Mike called it the first 4 seater ever made by TVR ! Still a wicked piece of kit.

Thought our Wedges had rusty chassis, guess the Creb would have been used more as a day to day car than a weekend toy like the Wedge!
i heard there's more of a story to it............around late 1996 TVR decided to start making chassis in house rather than being contracted out and plus they were really starting to push cars out in greater numbers in this period. The problem was that they could build the chassis quicker than they could build the rest of the car so what do you do with a load of chassis waiting to get built into rolling cars....................lets store them outside unpainted!!!if you're going to buy a TVR between 1997 - 2000 its going to rust! apparently if the cars a late 1996 and powder coat is grey not white then your chances are better but then buying a 1995/1996 cerb is not easy and then you start falling into a whole minefield of other issue's as early cerbs tend to have very slight differences .........and more what you'd call ............a learning curve! still cracking cars
I watched the whole program on u tube because I've had a bit of an arguement with sky so they cut me off.(long story). Anyway, the program was very interesting and very educational. I love the Cerbra, the looks , the power, if only it was a convertible. Who ever bought the car they restored is really lucky. Ed's done a cracking job as always.

Good job by Ed, but I would like to know how many hours he put into it!
TVR chassis condition will always be a lottery. I had a brand new 1990 S3 and used it as a daily driver. After three years I had sheets of powder coating falling off in places no where near the road like on top of the radiator mountings. I went on a factory tour in 1997 and saw a nearly completed chassis in its welding jig covered in light surface rust, probably as it was a Saturday on a damp weekend . I asked the guide did TVR prep the chassis in anyway before coating and was told no. On my next tour in 2002 I saw the same thing and this time the guide told they were shot blasted before coating. I guess my old S was an "over the weekend chassis" as the two wedges I've had have both been much better.
